We also use your email address for your identification when you log into your customer account.

For this purpose, we use existing information, such as delivery and read receipts of e-mails, information via the terminal used by you, your connection to the Internet, operating system and platform, date and time of the visit to the website or products that you have viewed and information we receive from you (including automatically transmitted or generated information). 2.3.2 Banner advertising
During your visit, we also use collected data to show you so-called banner advertising. These are advertisements that we place on third party websites. This usually happens through the use of so-called cookies or pixels. Our goal is to make the advertising offer more useful and interesting for you, therefore among the banner ads you will mainly see products that you have either already seen on our site or products that are similar to the products you looked at (so-called retargeting). Within the framework of banner advertising, we only work with pseudonymised data; plain text information about you (eg your name or email address) is not stored in these cookies.
More information about cookies, pixels and retargeting can be found under point 4 and point 7 of this policy.

4. Cookies

Accepting cookies is not a prerequisite for being able to visit our web pages. However, we would like to point out that our website and service only have a limited functionality, if you do not allow us to set cookies.
What are cookies? Cookies are small text files that are saved on your computer and that save certain settings and data for data exchange with our system via your browser. There are basically two different types of cookies, so-called session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser and permanent/temporary cookies, which are saved on your computer for a longer or unlimited time. This storage helps us design our web pages and our offers and makes use easier for you. For example, some of your entries are saved in a way that means you don't have to constantly repeat them.

Which cookies are used by Eloped?
Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted from your computer when you close your browser (end of session). That is why they are also called session cookies. Session cookies are needed, for example, to be able to offer the shopping cart function on several pages. In addition, we also use cookies that remain on your computer. On your next visit, it is automatically registered that you have already visited us before and which inputs and settings you prefer. These temporary or even permanent cookies (lifetime 1 month to 10 years) are saved on your hard drive and are automatically deleted when the set time is reached. It is these cookies in particular that are used to make our services more user-friendly, more efficient and safer. Thanks to these files, it is possible, for example, that you receive tailored information on the page. The sole purpose of these cookies is to adapt our offers to the customers' wishes and make it as convenient as possible for you when you surf with us.

What information is saved in cookies?
In the cookies Eloped uses, only pseudonymised data is saved. When these cookies are activated, they are assigned an identification number. A coordination with your personal data to this identification number does not take place. Your name, your IP address or similar information that enables a direct coordination between you and this cookie is not saved in it. Based on the cookie technology, we only receive pseudonymized information, for example about which pages in our online store have been visited, which products have been viewed, etc.

Retargeting
Our web pages use so-called retargeting technology. We use this technology to make our internet offer more interesting for you. This technology makes it possible to appeal to Internet users who have already shown interest in our online store and our products with advertising on our partners' websites. We are convinced that the display of personal, interest-based advertising is usually more interesting for the Internet user than the usual advertising, which lacks such a personal relationship. Display of these advertising materials on our partners' pages is based on cookie technology and an analysis of previous user behavior. This type of advertising is completely pseudonymised. When using our site, cookies are used. Information about your use is thereby collected, saved and used. In addition, your data is saved in cookies even after the end of the browser session and can then, for example, be called up again the next time you visit the web pages.

How can you prevent cookies from being saved?
You can set your browser so that the storage of cookies is only accepted when you consent and thus with future effect prevent cookies from being saved on your computer. If you only want to accept Eloped cookies, but not those from our suppliers and partners, you can change the setting in your browser to "Block cookies from third parties".
As a rule, via the help function in your browser's menu bar, you can see how to reject new cookies and delete ones you have already received.

5. Log files

With each access to Eloped's pages, user data will be transmitted by the respective browser and stored in log files, the so-called server log files. The data records saved in this context contain the following information: Date and time of access, name of called page, IP address, referring URL (origin URL, from which you have reached the web pages), the amount of data transferred, as well as product and version information about the browser used.
These log file data records are evaluated by us to further improve our offers and our Eloped shop and increase user-friendliness, find and fix errors faster and control the capacities of our servers. At the same time, we use log file data records as a defense against attacks against our Eloped shop, e.g. within the framework of so-called DDoS attacks (distributed denial of service), which aim to block access to our Eloped shop through an overload of requests.

6. Web analysis

In order to constantly improve and optimize our offer, we use so-called tracking technology. For this purpose, we use services from Google Analytics

6.1 Google Analytics

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (www.google.se). Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that enable an analysis of your use of the website, for example so-called "Cookies", text files that are stored on your computer. This generated information about your use of this website is usually transferred to one of Google's servers in the USA and stored there. By activating IP anonymization on this website, however, the IP address will first be shortened before transmission within the member states of the European Union or in other countries within the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a server in the USA belonging to Google to be shortened there. The IP address transmitted via your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not combined with other data saved by Google.

In addition, you can prevent the registration of the data about your use of the website, which is created by cookies (including your IP address), by Google and the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the plug-in in the browser, which you find using the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
Alternatively to the plugin in the browser, you can click on this link to prevent registration through Google Analytics on this website with future effect. In doing so, an opt-out cookie is saved on your terminal. If you delete your cookies, you must click this link again.

7. Retargeting and data collection through third parties for banner advertising

Within the framework of retargeting and banner advertising, we use services from third parties, which save cookies on our site. This concerns the following providers:
- Doubleclick by Google , Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; https://www.google.com/intl/se/policies/technologies/ads/
- Facebook Inc. , 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA; https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy

8. Secure data transfer

Your personal data is transmitted with us securely with encryption. This of course also applies to your order and login as a customer. We use the encryption system SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and hold SSL certificates.
In addition, we secure our website and other systems with technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, alteration or distribution of your data by unauthorized persons.
